I hate knowing that every grocery store in Utah carries my favorite microbrew (Squatters Pale Ale and Wasatch’s SPG) while I can’t get anything better than Odells out here (which isn’t bad, but simply not as good). In fact, one thing I came to discover lately is that the beer section of the average Denver grocery store is only about half as big as those in the average Utah grocery store. But then again, our liquor stores aren’t run by the state…

If you have it in you to drive out here to deliver a case or two, I will buy you lunch.

Onto more serious matters.

What you see before you is not a “new format” of the blog, it’s simply a CSS update and some fixed bugs. Sara Zarr would have you believe that I’m into changing my blogs every 52 hours, but the reality is ever since I started using this layout, I had a vision of having different colors every few months.

As for not updating my blog in a while (since when is a week a long time?), I’ve been a little busy and not a lot has happened worthy of a blog-sation. But I do have one thing to say. At least I’m not this guy. Yeah, I’m hard on him, but he knows it’s all in good love.

Work is going well. Last week I worked extra hours which could translate into one of three things…

  1. My boss is test-driving a possible full-time position for me.
  2. My boss had a lot of work to get done.
  3. My boss wanted me to experience what it’s like when the lazertag arena below us opens at 4pm and the building begins to shake.

Last night Becky and I went to Old School Burgers, which I’m guessing is Denver’s answer to not getting an In ‘N Out Burger out here. Not too bad, but I was expecting better fries.

Well that’s about it. Shout out to my mom-in-law who has been disapointed in my lack of consistancy. I’ll try to do better.

Your blog title sounds like it could be a song title…

You work above a laser tag arena? SWEET.

    Anna beat me to it.

Dude. You work above a LASERTAG ARENA! Are you aware of how sweet that is?

Yes… the Lazertag place is cool. It just opened up (our building is new). We toured it last week. It’s small… only holds 20 people (no teams… every man for himself). I think I’m going to have my birthday party there. Get 20 friends and rent out the place :-) .

Wow, I am a little surprise at the Beer selection at Denver grocery stores. Afterall, Denver is home to the Great American brew festival and Ft. Collins I think is where Fat Tire is made.

not so much consistency, but I just look forward to a good chuckle and hearing how things are going. I’m glad you like work, and hope your birthday bash(ha) goes well.

Chris – you are the only person I know who has left Utah and actually missed the Utah beer! You must broaden your horizons, Colorado has tons of great microbreweries. It’s time to choose a new favorite (with more than 3.2% alcohol)!!

    cheers,
    John
